Session Day! You already know exactly what to expect, so your session is a breeze! We spend about ninety minutes together to create images of your family that you dream of.

Now you choose the date that works best for you on my calendar! Once you select your date, you'll pay a session fee, sign your contract, and fill out a questionnaire to help me prepare for your session.

Over the next several weeks, you'll receive curated prep information designed to get you ready for your session. I send it in bite-sized pieces so you're not overwhelmed. And if you have questions, I'm just an email away!

DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH FAMILY SESSIONS AT HOME?

Yes. I specialize exclusively in in-home family photography because home is where your family is most comfortable and most like themselves. Your children can play, move around and take breaks without the pressure of an unfamiliar location or time limit. And we aren't limited to just photographing inside. I love to take the kids outside so they can play in their element!

WHAT IF MY CHILDREN DON’T COOPERATE?

The goal isn't perfect behavior, its for them to be themselves! I guide my sessions through lots of play and movement and I expect them to act like kids, because they are! My goal is not to get the prim and proper smile at the camera photo - its to capture their genuine personalities and all the little traits about them that you want to hold onto.

I'M NOT FINISHED DECORATING MY HOUSE - WILL IT LOOK BAD IN PICTURES?

Not at all. Before your session, I’ll have you send me photos or videos of your spaces so I can find the best light and plan where we will photograph. You do not need to deep clean or prepare your entire home. We only need a few small areas, and I’ll tell you exactly what to focus on. I focus on your family, not your home - so as long as we have a window with good light, we are set.

WHEN ARE FAMILY SESSIONS HELD?

In-home family sessions are held on weekday mornings and typically last around 90 minutes. Morning sessions allow us to work with the best light inside your home while children are usually rested and ready for the day. I recommend taking the entire morning off of work so there's no pressure to rush into the office until after lunch.

WHAT IF MY HOME IS DARK OR DOESN’T FEEL PHOTO READY?

Your home does not need to look like it belongs in a magazine. Before your session, I’ll have you send me photos or videos of your spaces so I can plan around the best available light. I shoot for the light, not the room, and we only need a few small areas to create a beautiful gallery filled with variety.
