A Newborn Session At Home

Nothing compares to a newborn session at home. I walked up to the door and was greeted with sidewalk chalk, toy trucks, and tiny shoes lining the front porch. This is the telltale sign of a home filled with five children, all under the age of five. The door opened and the sound of giggles filled the air. I couldn’t help but know this was going to be a good session.

As I set up my camera, the children instantly began loving on their new baby brother. Huge windows were behind them and I couldn’t help but feel giddy at the way the light poured in. As a natural light in-home photographer, this light-filled room was a dream come true.

During this at home newborn session, I noticed that this family had pictures lining the walls of their home. Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful images capturing special moments and milestones. Studies have shown that displaying photos of your children can have a positive impact on their self-confidence and sense of belonging. This is just one of the many reasons I encourage my clients to print their photos.

The Power of Printed Photos

This experience reaffirmed my belief in the power of printed photographs. In a digital age where everything is so fleeting, there is something special about holding a physical print in your hands. It adds a tangible sense of value and importance to the memories we capture. We are all guilty of getting photos taken and just storing them on our computers. Printed photos, albums, or framed art are great ways to bring your investment in professional photography to life.

That’s why I include a print credit in all of my newborn and family session collections. I want my clients to walk away with more than just digital files. I want them to have something they can hold onto, display in their homes, and pass down to future generations.

Whether you are pregnant with your first baby or your fifth, I’d love to capture your newborn photos at home. Not only are in-home newborn sessions convenient, but they’re also a more accurate representation of this season in your life. Reach out and let’s chat about how we can work together.
