Today I’m sharing this light and bright session with you all in this family’s new GORGEOUS home! They were in the beginning phases of thinking about how they were going to remodel the home they lived in to make it the perfect long-term home for them and their twin boys. But then, by chance, they randomly stumbled across this perfect modern farmhouse and they just couldn’t pass it up.

An in-home family lifestyle session was the perfect opportunity to capture their boys at the fun 18-month-old age and to document starting a new chapter in their beautiful home. My goal for this session was to capture the chaos that comes along with twins, as well as the sweet moments. I love this age – they’re still sweet, not too spicy, but are finding their voice and their opinions. They are truly turning into little people! I also wanted to document the new house they’d be making a home. Mom’s background is in interior design so I wanted to make sure I was able to capture her effortless, relaxed, lived-in style in these images.

Family sessions are fun, chaotic, can involve some bed jumping and dance parties. In this case, there was a lot of chasing around two little boys and letting them get into whatever their little hearts desired!

An in-home family session is a great opportunity to capture a sweet age of your kiddos that you’re loving or to capture a new chapter in life (like this family!) Being in your home means that your family is comfortable, you guys can be yourself, and I can capture kids being kids! That living room you worked so hard to decorate? Yep, I’ll capture that too. Your family pets? They can be in the pictures too! The time cuddled up on the couch reading your child’s favorite book? That can only be captured in your home.
