Right in the midst of this beautiful chaos is the ever so important babymoon. Who wouldn’t want a chance to enjoy some one-on-one time with their partner before the baby comes? Most moms-to-be opt for a little trip at the 4-6 month mark of their pregnancy but there really are no rules as long as your doctor gives you the ‘ok’ to get on that plane. 

Generally, it is recommended that you don’t fly past 36 weeks, plus some airlines really won’t allow you to.

Anguilla

We’re starting off strong with my personal favorite, after all, this is where I went to enjoy my unforgettable babymoon just a year ago. It was absolutely perfect. In Anguilla you can expect serenity and tranquility since it is one of the less crowded Caribbean destinations with the most beautiful soft, white sand beaches. You can spend your days relaxing by the beach, enjoying the diverse and delectable cuisine. Our favorite resort on the island has a world-class spa that offers prenatal massages and wellness treatments, providing the best opportunity for soon-to-be parents to de-stress and rejuvenate. You can also get out and explore as much as you’d like to, eat out at a fabulous restaurant or maybe stay at the resort and never leave. All up to you!

Mexico

An all-time SPT client favorite, Mexico is always at the very top of the list for babymoons booked with us. Though known for its party atmosphere, we promise you that Mexico is your ideal babymoon destination. Just one short flight will lead you to countless luxury resorts to choose from, from beachfront resorts in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, to charming colonial cities like San Miguel de Allende. Mexico’s coastlines feature some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Plus there’s more to do here besides water activities, which our mamas may not want to participate in. In Cabo, we love the exquisite baja retreat, the One&Only Palmilla or the top-booked Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort that offers pampering and pleasure with unparalleled service and attention to detail. In Punta Mita, Susurros del Corazón, an Auberge resort on the untouched Mexican shoreline, takes the top spot. And in the gorgeous Riviera Maya, La Casa de la Playa, the Adults only all-inclusive or the Rosewood Mayakoba is where we would highly recommend. A new addition to our list of Mexican favorites is the Four Seasons Tamarindo, the secluded nature reserve in Jalisco, Mexico.

Belize

Belize welcomes you with open arms to its natural paradise any time of year. With its year-round great Caribbean/Central American weather, you can expect to enjoy pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and crystal-clear waters. Home to the second-largest coral reef system in the world, the Belize Barrier Reef, this preserved beauty offers opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving in a safe and scenic underwater environment. The Florida Keys

With its laid back tropical atmosphere, the Florida Keys is one of the best choices for expectant parents who don’t want to have a long journey to the tropics. As one of our easier accessible destinations, the Florida Keys has some lovely beaches where you can relax, sunbathe, and enjoy the calm waters. We can already smell the crisp clean air here, just the mention of this special place and that’s why we had to include this destination on our favorite babymoon destinations list.
