I’m so excited to share that I’m now offering personal styling for your photo session with a personal stylist! At Nikki Caviness Photography, I want to make sure you feel prepared for your session, whether its an in-home newborn session or a family session. One of the ways I’m helping prepare you is with a personal stylist. Read below to find out more.

What should I wear for family photos?

One of the most common questions my clients ask for advice on is what to wear for their session. While I provide a style guide and have blog posts such as this one, what you wear for your photos is really personal! You want your outfit to reflect you and make you feel comfortable, but you also want it to look good in photographs. This is where personal styling comes in!

What is personal styling?

If you haven’t worked with a personal stylist before, you’re in for a treat. I have teamed up with Megan Timmons of Styled By Meg who styles busy moms and families for day-to-day life, vacations, and she also works specifically with clients who are having newborn or family photos taken. She chooses looks for your entire family based on your preferences, likes and dislikes, and personal aesthetic and vision.

How does personal styling for your photo session work?

You will fill out a questionnaire at least 6 weeks prior to your photo session date. This will allow Megan time to create a personalized look for your entire family (up to 4 family members). You will receive a style board with outfits containing embedded links that you can click and purchase clothing items directly. Mom, you’ll get multiple options for yourself to choose from! Its so easy and convenient!
