Shooting at home is my favorite! If you haven’t noticed, all of my newborn and family sessions are in your home. Why, do you ask? There are so many reasons why I love shooting at your home. Let me tell you allllll about it!
YOU’RE HOME. You don’t have to worry about rushing to get the kids out the door, into the car, getting wrinkled clothes. I come to you. Easy peazy.
AIR CONDITIONING and HEAT. You guys, we live in Texas. Our hot summers are hot and our winters are….well, you never know! (I’m looking at you Snowpocalypse 2021!) Let’s stay in a nice, climate controlled environment so your skin isn’t glistening with sweat and your hair stays fabulous looking.
BUGS. I can’t step outside during the Texas summer without being attacked by mosquitos, and I assume that some of my clients have the same issue. Let’s have your session inside where we don’t have to worry about mosquitos, snakes or other creepy crawlies interrupting.
DETAILS. I love to capture the details of your home. Your house is where you live and whether its your wedding photos on the wall or special details in the nursery, I want to make sure I document them as part of your story.
PETS. Your pet is welcome to make an appearance in your photos. Afterall, they are part of the family too!
TOYS AND BOOKS. We are all parents here. We know kids need entertainment and have a short attention span, especially when your photo session is an hour long. Grab their favorite toy or book off the shelf, and they’re back in their element.
SNACKS AND POTTIES. Again, kids. They typically need snacks and potties at the most inconvenient time. Luckily, if you’re at home, that becomes a non-issue!
KIDDOS FEEL SAFE AND RELAXED AT HOME. You guys, home is where you feel comfortable, and the same goes for you kids. I want to capture you and your family where you’re comfortable, and home is where its at.
Does having your newborn and family session at home sound like a great idea? I think so too. Send me a message if you’d like to hear more about my photo sessions at home. I’d love to tell you more about it!
